It was a big wish to visit the Island of Ischia, one of the three islands (Capri, Procida & Ischia). You can visit the island by taking the boat from Naples.
We started our roadtrip in Milan. We visited the incredible, inspiring Villa Necchi. A green oasis in the middle of Milan. I still dream away by the beauty of the bath- and living rooms. We had dinner in the vibrant and cool part of Milan; I Navigli.
Our second stop was Firenze, Florence. Walking down the small streets, enjoying cappuccino’s the old school style at Gilli’s and much more.
In Tuscany we spend the night in a beautiful gem just one hour drive from the main road. I wished we could have stayed longer but Ischia is calling.
We rented a boat at the Amalfi Coasts. It’s the best way to avoid tourists but still enjoying the coastline. Jump in the fresh water and enjoy all the beautiful colors!
Unfortunately we didn’t had the time to visit Naples but this city will always have a special place in my heart.
Then finally we took the ferry to Ischia. Our first stop was Procida. Honestly you just want to stay here for weeks and enjoy the island life. Slow and beautiful. The food was amazing. Especially the white wine with very cold peaches, we drink this a lot at home right now as well.. it brings back the Italian spirit.
After Ischia we took some quiet days in Puglia. We visited many beautiful villages like Bari, Legge Grottaglie and more. After Puglia we slowly moved back to the North of Italy again. Our car was loaded with beautiful Italian treasures and souvenirs and our heart was full of Italian spirit. Our Italian love story isn’t finished yet and will never end.
Grazie mille bella Italia!
